Considerando che non puoi nè tributare il mostro nè attaccare... devi puntare sull'effetto del mostro (se è un Mago della Fede coperto è buona, se ha un BLS scoperto è buono, lo rimuovi )

l'utilità puo' consistere nel fatto che liberi il campo avversario per un attacco diretto, di combo vere e proprie non ne conosco

Non esistono mica solo 2 mostri... era per fare esempi. Comunque è buona anche per liberarti il campo avversario.
